55 Acres of Alluring Artistry - Butchart

Writer's picture: Lorna JonesLorna Jones

The crowning glory of our visit to Vancouver Island was the Butchart Gardens. Some young friends of ours, who live in the Victoria area, took us there and what an absolute delight it was.

I could have spent many more hours there but the time I had was magical. The late afternoon sun made everything glow. All the colours were incredibly vibrant. I hope you enjoy the virtual walk through the gardens, we certainly enjoyed being there.

After leaving the gardens, we had a delicious dinner with our young friends before booking into our hotel. Thank you so much Trevor and Sarah for all your kindness that day. Early the next morning, we boarded the ferry back to the mainland and began our trip home. This marked the end of this massive "Happy Adventure" but many smaller ones followed.

My little Mini Cooper "Bruno", did an awesome job on this long journey from one end of the country to the other. Now it was time to head back to our home in St. Albert, Alberta.

I hope you continue with me as I discover more beauty in our incredible country and world.
